Open water swimming is for everyone

Open Water swim instruction at arguably the most gorgeous dedicated swimming lake in the country. Sessions are currently £69 for private lessons, £12-£18 for Groups. Private sessions and group sessions are available.

Open May to October

Adult Group Lessons

Places must be reserved by text or email. Lessons last 50mins and cover open water skills (including sighting , turns, pacing, adapting stroke to wetsuit and open conditions etc) stroke and speed. Cost £12-18 each.

Dates and times

Group sessions are 8am Saturdays and Sundays, May to October.

Kids Swim Race Squad (Under 16s)

Introduction  to Open Water and Open Water Racing. Pricing and details upon application.

We have developed a unique special Open Water Swim Awards Program with a badge and certificate. Children must be able to swim 200m Frontcrawl without stopping. Young swimmers who are particularly good may join the adult sessions on request. No children under 16 may swim in the lake unless through these sessions for insurance purposes.

Private lessons

Up to 3 people at a time can be booked in advance via old school phone, text or email. 2025 Season Times are as follows at peak season. (These may be reduced from September.)

Cost is £69 (1-3 people) per session plus lake fee of £7pp for just under 1 hour.
